The Offer
Eligible tenants can buy a Housing Perks Energy Card in the app at a 4% discount and use it to pay a UK energy supplier that accepts card payments online or over the phone. The card can cover all or part of an energy bill. Each card is limited to £150, but tenants can buy more than one. The card arrives on their phone instantly after purchase. A short form must be completed for UK anti-money-laundering checks before use.
Tenants can keep the 4% saving. Where their housing provider has Rent Contributions enabled, they can instead have the discount contributed towards their rent.
Who Can Use It
The offer is available to tenants of participating housing associations and local authorities who pay for their own energy. It can be used by people on Direct Debit or pay-as-you-go arrangements, including those on a social tariff, provided their supplier accepts online card payments or card payments over the phone, including meter top-ups. Tenants with legacy meters that can only be topped up using a key or fob in-store cannot use this offer, because they cannot be topped up online or over the phone. Tenants who do not pay for their energy cannot claim the discount. The Energy Card is for UK energy suppliers only.

How to Promote the Offer
Lead with the clear tenant benefit: “Get 4% off your energy bills with Housing Perks.” Explain that tenants do not need to switch supplier or energy plan, and that the saving can be kept or contributed towards rent where Rent Contributions is enabled. Direct tenants to the app to check the offer and their supplier’s payment options before buying a card.
Share the offer through your tenant emails, website, portal, social channels, posters and frontline teams. Include a link to the Housing Perks download page and make sure staff know where tenants can find support in the app.
