Case Study

ForHousing

In the face of rising inflation and the cost of living crisis, ForHousing, a housing association with 17,000 properties in the North West, was determined to find innovative ways to support their tenants. Their mission was clear: to improve the financial wellbeing of tenants. To address this challenge, ForHousing partnered with Housing Perks, the only online platform specifically for housing associations.

The Solution

Housing Perks, a user-friendly online platform, provided ForHousing tenants with access to a wide range of discounts on everyday essentials such as groceries, pharmaceuticals, petrol, and clothing. This partnership aimed to address rising food price inflation and to soften the financial impact of big one off purchases.

ForHousing promoted the Housing Perks mobile app to tenants through an email campaign and website promotion. Tenants used ForHousing's unique code to gain access. No personal information was shared with Housing Perks, tenants just needed to sign up using their code with a smart phone making the launch possible in just a few weeks.

Unprecedented Engagement

Within just three hours of Housing Perks becoming available to ForHousing tenants, an astonishing 1,200 tenants, representing 7% of their total tenant base, had already signed up for the platform. This rapid and enthusiastic response highlighted the need for practical ways to address food price inflation.

The Housing Perks promotional page became the most popular webpage on the ForHousing website and tenants saved £1,000 within the first 3 weeks of the app becoming available. All this activity was from a single email sent to tenants.
